Minium

Maybe you know that, at the end of the WWII, some German tanks were dispatched from the factories without paint; just with their minium protection - Sometimes there were partially painted and partially "minium".

Yesterday, I made accidentally a good minium...

I own an old, damaged tank that I use for testing the fluidity of my paint for airbrushing; but also where I airbrush the excess of paint.

Working on my Egg-Zero, I sprayed on that tank the excess of Tamiya XF-71 (Japanese Cockpit Green). A little bit later, I sprayed over the XF-71 the excess of my egg-2000 Orange from Citadel Colors... And I was surprised by the result, who gives in my humble opinion a nice "minium"...

Rust brown color, look good. But also during the battle of Kursk, some Soviet tanks did not have paint at all.
