I have a new model on my desk ( yes, another .... ), Eduard's Spitfire Mk IX Profi Pack with lots of goodies, brassin exhaust http://www.letletlet-warplanes.com/forum/makete-aviona-aircraft-modeling/spitifire-exhaust/ , brassin radio compartment and brassin wheels. At first I glued all the parts from the box and brassin preparing for home made tuning as a next stage.

thank you all for your kind words, No1 bullseye, it will be the one on the third picture :-tri
here is some progress, the detailing up has started
-
A lot of wires!!!
-
Well done!
-
The cockpit, I wanted to give a heavier, used, dirty look so my oil wash is a bit too much but after joining the two halves of the fuselage only bits and peaces will be visible..... The instrument panel is straigt from the box only update is a drop of Humbrol Clear Fix in the instruments to imitate glass
-
Looks nice anyway
-
Yes, combat worn out look :-ok
-
The control stick tuned up. Unfortunately very little stays to be seen when the fuselage is completed, but I will always know it's there :))
-
I did not take attention of this wires and I have made few of those kits :-red :-dal Great work from your side :-clap
-
Excellent!
-
Excellent! :-clap :-clap :-clap :-clap
-
Thank you all
Due some computer issues I wasn't able to upload for a time, but now te problem is solved so ere we go again. Somehow, somewhy I couldn't install the wheel bays properly so I took the high road and made it myself and tuned up it a bit with some wires
-
:-ok
-
:-ok
-
The oil coolers, once again eduard's photo etched parts and some evergreen
-
And more, painted, weathered, ready for installing
-
Evergreen give nice taste to any plastic meal ;)
-
:-ok
-
Excellent!
-
thank you, the glass parts glued and some heavy duty work still needed on this one
-
Very fine work!
-
Thank you !
The painting started, after Mr.Surfacer I started to paint the marking ( once again no decal will be placed, all will be painted ) and I tried something new, the most difficult thing is to shade and made panel lines weathered properly, so this is what I figured out. First a layer of white, then a grey shade over panel lines, drew the lines with graphite pencil and then several layers of white until I got the look I desired for. Works perfectly
-
:-ok
-
The Yugoslav AF got these Spitfires from RAF so the markings were not new only the star was painted in RAF roundels, but on the tail the flag is all new, so here is a challenge, weathered RAF markings with freshly painted star, and to get it more interesting the circle in the middle stays from RAF......
-
Part two
-
Why not camouflage first?
-
Same question... Otherwise, splendid work.
-
This way can be painted without a " step " which is more possible if it's painted the other way ( camo first ) mostly because the white, white needs a thick prime and more layers of paint then camo, so this way on the end the result is even, smooth surface. And, if the mask peels of some paint it's easier to fix the roundel, well for me it is.....
-
Looking good!
-
The start of the painting, after masking all the roundels and the flag the first was the different, non standard paint which was put on the airplane by over painting on the standard RAF paint scheme, most probably after arrival in the Yugoslav unit, and the yellow on the wings
-
Lets go ;)
