Something rare and interesting, to start this year :))
-
I love the Wyvern!! Good success on this one, mate.
I built a vacuform Wyvern on commission in the early nineties and so became very fond of the airplane. Westland built a true monster, almost like a turboprop P-47 that could land on an aircraft carrier!
-
What is refreshing is that most of part need sanding to fit into place... I miss this much!! All right, I like this modern kit developed with 3D technology but it look like my heart live still in early '70
-
I agree, it is sometimes fun to build one of these Classic Airframes kits. The extra fitting takes me back to my earlier days, too!!
-
Old school, great progress and excellent choice mate !
-
Thanks friends :)) despite fact that every single instrument was placed one by one, it is released so fast so wings join the fuselage :))
-
Sanding...... a lot of sanding :-love
-
And make decision to complete as this sample machine :))
-
Tail in hold position ;)
-
Sloooowwwww...
-
After few lazy days, kit get into position for painting :))
-
very good mate !
-
Thanks :)) painting started but I find one problem...
-
well, there are some issues over there, but I have no doubt that it will be corrected very soon ! keep up the good work mate !
-
Problem associated with canopy. Sample I wanted to do at first glance, have all clear canopy, while kit include only one type, with metal cover rear part. So I will do another sample, not this one.
-
Hmm...could we use your kit parts to build a master for vacuforming?
-
Yes, even original part can be used, just sand frames on canopy and polishing. But problem is that I did not note that in time, it have a coat of paint now. Also, under this invisible area is placed resin frame and super glue definitely make scars there, hard to repair.
-
Okay.
Even though you have this problem it coaxed me to study the Wyvern some more to figure out the canopy differences that I never noticed before. Learning never stops!
-
Every day in our life is chance to learn something :))
-
:-ok
-
Wyvern progress few bits and then stop! I realize that kit does not have scoop under the windscreen. So I have to make it somehow from something. So, dig into spare box is what I will do next hours
-
so good !
-
Solution :-wch air intake from Bf 109G, Eduard 1/48. It will fit perfect, I merge half's and tomorrow will cut upper half and cement on place.
-
Problem solved, now to correct the paint, demarcation line is higher, will correct this with new coat of Sky
-
Great!
-
Thanks :)) paint corrected :))
-
:-ok
-
looks excellent !
-
Thanks :))
-
Decals :-love
-
Looks nice! :)
-
Thanks :)) work on decals completed :))
-
:-ok
-
I believe the camera portholes of the Wyvern were hardly used and that in practice they were filled and painted over.
You see this on most photographs! If you decide to use these on your model you can use Cristal Clear for the best results.
-
I know that, this is what need to care about. This one will have Cristal Clear cover
-
Final stage...
-
And assembled :)) sorry, no way to take a photo of bottom, too sensitive kit for handling :-red
-
looks great ! well done !
-
Thanks :))
-
Splendid!
-
Thank you :))
-
Really an excellent build, mate!!
-
Thanks :))
