A very good solution Jicehem,

I would suppose one can correct the too short rear fuselage length of Tamiya's 72nd scale Bf-109E kit by the same method; by inserting shims in the same three places.

After nearly a month of inactivity I've finally gotten some work done on this little kit. Next will be to sand the masking line between tan and blue--the "new" formula Modelmaster RLM 79 requires too much paint to get a thorough coating and it shows here :-think:

Note- in early days Bf 109 had top coat of Italian yellow sand and bottom in RLM 65. Top color look good ;)

On fighters, RLM 65 was fully replaced by RLM 76 since the end of 1940.

And then, too, this particular airplane had been resprayed with RLM78 on the bottom and up the sides to mimic the desert camouflage thinking at that time.....

Thanks, friends.

This was quite a fun build, even though it was spread out over a long period of time for an out-of-box project. Regardless of the length problem with the fuselage I still believe this is now my second-favorite Emil to construct. Everything went together so nicely and no complications whatsoever.
