A new project that I'm starting: the Fulimi 1/72 Spitfire XIV "Belgian escadrille".
I will use Syhart decals to build a camoflaged aircraft of the 350 Sqn
-
First step is to fill some panels not present on the Spit XIV.
First time I used the Perfect Plastic Putty: excellent!
-
Good and like to see this material for surface
-
Very nice !
-
Canopy maked. Not really easy, eyes tired actually and the canopy is not perfect; it was difficult to see the difference between the metal parts and the glass ones...
-
:))

Hello :-salut
Very interesting project. I'll follow the build.

-
interesting indeed, well done so far
-
Time to resume the work...
Primer for the interior done. As you can see I will use the Yahu's instrument panel
-
nice progress mate !
-
Interior green
-
looks good !
-
Thank you my friend.
Hope to continue after the week-end
-
Bock with that Spitfire XIV, and some problems that need to be fixed...
Engine cover doesn't fit correctly and half parts don't fit together perfectly...
I've just added in the cockpit PE seatbelt from Eduard and Yahu instrument panel
-
This two details are far enough for interior. Sorry to hear about cowling problem, it look like many Spitfire kit can suffer from that
-
Yes, that fit is not good, but you will overcome!

Well, I'm trying at least... ;)
-
Lot of work today sanding the "dorsal" element of the fuselage; fit was very bad...
And to fix minor gaps, I'm using cyano.
Of course, putty will be needed for next stage...
-
When I see your notes, I really consider to convert Eduard Spitifire into this one

Yes, it's better to do that !
-
Take some Overstress kit, they are good base for that
-
:-ok
-
Today, use of Vallejo putty, Mr Surfacer 1000 and Miliput...
-
So precise work
-
Good recovery of a build!!
-
Thank you my friends!
Well, last work for 2017: sanding, re-engraving of panel lines, replacement of the tank cap on the fuselage...
Looks from far better now!
I have also lost since the beginning of the building the visor... Very happy to have bought some Spitfire Overtrees from Eduard! :))
-
Good- now go to drink!!
-
Exactly 😉
-
lot of work, well done mate
-
Thank you mate 😉
-
Last correction for the cockpit interior; I just have to repaint that zone and, at last, close the canopy...
-
:-clap :-clap :-clap
-
:-ok
-
Thank you ;)
-
Kit is definitively stopped...
Trying to insert the visor into the cockpit, this one falled and it was impossible to recuperate it.
I tried shaking slightly the kit and the instrument panel falled also! Impossible to reinsert it into the cockpit...
I've given the aircraft "as is" to my grandson; he is very happy he can play with.
Definitively disappointed by that Fujimi kit. Will be happy to start a kit from Eduard soon...
-
sorry to read this, but one youngster happier is a good thing !
-
Well- this is best dedicated build here for now, gift for kid :))
-
Yes, agreed.
-
Excellent philosophy my friends ;)
-
