I've purchased a few of them on the auction sites when I was starting to build up references for specific subjects such as the Barracuda and Gannet. I've got one with the Hawker Hunter in all its foreign service markings that is wonderful to behold.

Hmm..... :-think I haven't, simply because I haven't a kit to work with right now. I've always wanted to build a Kuwaiti two-seater. :-love

Any kit in 1/48 scale? I know that you prefer that scale?

Well, I hadn't even thought about a Hunter since awakening from my long "modeling slumber".........I'll have to do some research on this idea as I have three real Hunters here locally that I may be able to use as reference material. It's just a beautiful airplane in the single-seat configuration. Of course, I always want to build the ugly duckling rather than the swan! Maybe if I find the Aeroclub two-seater I'll go forward.

The basic national insignia are now applied and a first coat of flat. I'm going to have to put this one on the back burner for a week or so to finish another project and attack the C.R.42 Group Build.

Here's the underside "tiger-stripe" night camouflage. Perhaps tomorrow the topside will get its final coat.

Lest everyone think I put this project in limbo, here is a small update.

There are too many models on my bench and so this one had to go, one way or the other. Since it was closer to being done than not I went ahead and finished the Ju-87 today. One item I had to deal with was the conical flash supressors on the wing guns. I dug through the spares but found nothing so I used some Eduard parts tree material to build my own. To do this simply stretch a bit of sprue and then use the tapered part to fashion the flash-tube. Just drill the end out and glue it to the cannon barrel.

Here is the model in the bench vise while the left exhaust flame supressor is drying. I'll take some photos of the finished airplane tomorrow.
