Hi all, :-salut
Here are adds by "Line Bros" for their Frog "Penguin" series :
13 May 1937, in the magazine "Flight" (Penguin series):

10 October 1940 :

After the war, the name "Penguin" was dropped and the models which "survived" were all in the Frog series.
before issueing plastic models, Line Bros manufactured flying model in wood and paper. It's said that "Frog" is an acronym meaning "Flight Right Off the Ground"...

This is a Frog kit I have still unbuilt. In the kit a V-1 was included that could be mounted on top of the Ar-234 fuselage.
Found the kit some 10-12 years ago and yes, I paid only Dfl 5.- for it (= ca. EURO 2.30).
It must be a kit from the late sixties or maybe early seventies since this kit was already distributed by Rovex. Other kits in the same range (1/72 scale) as illustrated on the side flaps of the box were the BAC Lightning F.6, Canberra Mk.8/12 low lever bomber, Dornier Do-17Z-2, Spey powered Phantom F.4K/M and the Lockheed PV.1 Ventura

Hi Profa, :-salut
Yes, the Frog's Barracuda kit is very old. The first edition is from the early 1960's.

Hi Nico braas,
This kit is from the mid-1970s... It was later issued by Revell in Germany.

Hi mates, :-salut
No absolute proof but this photo from Life review of 1940 seems to depict the first edition of the Blenheim I by Frog.
