This is an old Huma kit. Looks like good old Matchbox at first regard; but lot of fitting problems will come...
-
...As said: fiting is really poor...
Lot of work to do but that can be fun... Kit is not bad; it's not the Mirage 5 from Mark One...
-
Huma was famous for making so rare subjects and it is pleasure to see you take this one!!
-
This will look interesting, as No.1 said Huma had rare subjects and it's good to see one started !
-
Thank you friends.
As you can see on the photos already posted and shown again here, fitting between the cover of the cockpit emplacement and the fiselage is very bad; more than that plastic is a little bit souple and if you press a little bit the fuselage, the cover could loss the adherence of the glue...
-
...So, I removed the cover and placed reinforcement into the interior of the fuselage.
I've also added some weight in the nose...
Then, a long sanding phase was useful to give better fitting to the half fuselages and the cockpit cover.
Finally, I've used Squadron Green and White putty...
-
Squadron Green Putty!! My first putty ever! This kit is interesting as well it can be with easy extra detailed with parts from Bf 109G
-
Detailing is possible indeed but I'm not decided yet to do that...
Green putty is still a good one ;-)
-
I look forward to this build, sorry about the fit problems! My tube of Squadron Green Putty has finally dried up.....
-
Yes, it's the problem with Squadron green putty...
-
nice progress mate !
-
Sanding done; minor corrections to do with Tamiya white putty - Why another putty? Simply to see clearly where it was put...
-
good thinking mate on putty ! well done !
-
Good contrast by using white...
-
Yes, I find useful to use another putty (of another color) when corrections are needed...
Sanding done. It's OK now. I've also finished to remove all the parts from the sprues.
-
nice progress mate !
-
Thank you!
-
I confess to not being well versed in non-US aircraft other than knowing the most widely used/popular planes. I've never seen a 609 before. Neat subject!
-
Primer airbrushed...
-
How long time I did not use lighter primer, simply adopt to black
-
Many modellers prefer to use black indeed...
Not really tried...
-
Good !
-
Putty on the wings; the wheel bays of the "outer" wings to be filled. A second session of putty will be needed for minor corrections...
-
Just hope it will make smooth over the edges

Thank you mate
