Glad you like it. Generaly as filler should be used epoxy filler but Tamya could do that work too. I used on this sample Revell with no problem.

This evening I have made some more work. First i put a stick of balsa wood inside in order to keep pieces in the good position. then the intersection gap I have fill with two parts epoxy thick glue which cement parts but also work as filler. This was sanded, filled with standard model filler and then sanded again. Finaly shape is achieved as well stable standing... model get tail as well canopy.

Assume you know that polyacrylate glue will make the transparant canopy opaque!
I always use woodglue!
These resin kits mostly have detailed 3-view drawings and I really would like to see this on the forum!
Nice to see such a quite old kit turn into a model!!

This is corect what you said Nico- this transparencies are sensitive to the micro evaporating from this type of glue. Well- i have chech today how look like surface after surgery. Not perfect and there will be more filler add as well spray coat of the 2K liquid filler.

Hi Nro.1,

it's great to come back to the forum and see such a wonderful work on a resin kit. I've gotten a Waco CSO from a brazilian company called Commando 5 and it is rough to say the least. But I'll get thru with it.

Keep up the goord work.

Good luck!

Javier

The Messerschmitt Me 263 was a rocket-powered fighter aircraft developed from the Messerschmitt Me 163 towards the end of World War II. Three prototypes were built but never flown under their own power as the rapidly deteriorating military situation in Germany prevented the completion of the test program.

The Me 163B had two main shortcomings. One was a limited flight endurance, the second was the lack of a retractable landing gear. The latter meant that the aircraft had to land on a retractable skid. Both shortcomings prevented it from becoming an efficient fighter aircraft.

The Me 163C was an improved design with increased fuel tankage but still lacked retractable landing gear.

The project was then handed over to Heinrich Hertel of the Junkers company. This resulted in the aircraft becoming the Junkers Ju 248.

The design of the Ju 248/Me 263 started after the Me 163C because the Me 163C was not considered an adequate successor to the Me 163B because of its landing skid. The Ju 248/Me 263 took the wings and tail section of the Me 163B while the Me 263 was a completely new design.
