Lala 1
« on: August 18, 2024, 06:51:32 PM »
Hi to you all !

After a more than a year of abstence of modelling due some personal issues, going thru hell I now try to come back. And I try to make it big.....

There was an concept of an jet propelled agrocultural aircraft to be build, and it actually happened the Polish made the PZL M?15 Belphegor, however, for experemintal pourposes they converted one AN-2 in Latające laboratorium ( the Lala name come from this ) for tryout, it have both propeller and jet engine as well.

I will try to make it in 1/48 scale using an Bilek AN-2 for base and the rest will be scratchbuild, wish me luck chaps  !

When I started this project I knew this will be hard, and so it is.... At first leg I cut the fuselage to make it accurate, after I made the jet exhaust place as a guide line for the rest, it turns out the rear end of the fuselage is more sculpting than modeling... First I made the base shape from Evergreen styreen and then come the putty, a lot of it...... While I'm make the layers of putty and sanding I'm trying to figure out how to make the rear '' bar '' section, but first in the in the meantime I will start the jet engine intake

Thank you mate !

The first leg of the intake, still lot of work ahead, lot of putty, slow progress but if it fell out fine it will be well worth it
