Hurrah! Another project!

Don't be too concerned about finishing within the month--I'm still adding Corsairs to the F4U GB nine months later!!! :-eek

Some more progress on my side--I don't have to work until Wednesday of this week so I've gotten several projects done around the house and still had a bit of time for the MiG.

I must say that if there are any pitfalls to building this kit I haven't found them. :-ok Both the plastic and PE parts are simply wonderful to work with. :-clap :-clap :-clap The fit is very nice with just a tiny bit of filler needed on a few seams.

Nice work Scott!! Looking good, i like it! :-clap :-clap
Are you cut flaps or they are like on first photo in kit? Will you put them in downed position? :-think

The kit comes just this way, Sall. The flaps are actually molded to be installed in the "up" position but it will be a relatively easy matter to drop them. They're on tracks and move aft as well as down, so some work will be required to drop them, including adding a bit to the leading edge of the flap and modeling the cove in the wing structure.

I'm enjoying this as a "box-stock" build and the DDR airplanes I have photos of show the flaps stowed while parked.

Thanks for the encouragement, y'all!

Here's the nearly finished seat for mine. The Carpet Monster got two of the %(*%@ seatbelt harness sections this morning but I found both of them later. I need a catch-basin around me when I'm working with PE parts..... :-wall
