Hi all,

Here is something that is not current : a metal plated kit.
This is a hasegawa model. I had got also the F-100D Super Sabre and the Mc Donnell F-4J Phantom II, but they have been built.

It's not so easy to build... because of the metal avoiding cement to work. All cementing surfaces must be scrapped and the joints are very difficult to sand...

But if you're careful enough you'd get an amazing finished model - there's no better way to get metal effect than to use real metal

On the other hand, it's really an artefact and I agree with our No.1 - I'd prefer to leave it as a museum sample...

You're totally right. For the F-100D, thanks to the Abt system (a varnish which was polished with a metallic powder) I've been able to obtain good joints...
I can't show you this kit, because I gave it a young modeler years ago...
