Well, the scale is small but this kit is still big so I am now more looking where to place it after finish.. so here is parts. Kit is so good detailed and have evan seats in that scale.
-
And very lazy start :-red :-wall
-
looks like a good kit, much better than Trumpeter....
-
Never seen Trumpeter but this one is really eye catching :-razz :-tri this day spent on interior painting...
-
I have seen the trumpeter, junk...... nice progress mate !
-
:))
-
And I have always been happy with Zvezda, so this looks good to me!!
-
:-ok
-
Thanks :))
-
This kit is small and outstanding!!! It can be also made with open doors but I will make it closed.
-
Very Nice kit indeed !
-
Looks excellent mate !
-
Thanks, just to finish my morning coffee and I am back on subject ;)
-
Very interesting construction. All the transport airplanes I've built were just a hollow tube inside, this is so much more detailed!
-
True, sad that I decide to close rear ramp, it is so detailed, it even have actuators for ramp (in that scale!)
-
Work by now :))
-
good !
-
Fast !
...But excellent !
-
Thanks, continue tomorrow :))
-
Work on small details, I hope I will start painting today
-
:-ok
-
nice progres, it is an impressive bird even in this scale
-
And I am lazy last two days... :(
-
Finally... I can just imagine horror of protecting cockpit canopy of A6M in 1/144 scale :-eek
-
Light grey on...
-
:-ok
-
White :))
-
Superb !
-
White is not always easy... Nice result !
-
You probably know Nicolas Cage movie Lord of War and the scene when they land an aircraft in the Africa..... Well, that actually happened but not in Africa but UAE and the plane is still there, an IL 76.... It's restricted area, one hotel years ago put a commercial on the aircraft

You have also model build project if I can remember good... on my side paint of small details and one correction. One blister on fuselage side is not need so I cut it and paint again.
-
Nice progress mate ! Yes I did made this model and delivered to my friend, still waiting for the photos......
-
Thanks :)) Here is unusuall continue of this build- adding side decals. I know they have to be done last, when kit is painted but I have no other choice. Last time I am low of concentration so I can make mistake when make demarcation line for bottom grey paint. So I decide to apply decal and this decal will be guide to me. This mean great care during work, strong coat of protective varnish over it, very low tack protective tape and great care of paint mixture, to avoid leaks under tape and smudging of decals...
So if you do this kit, don't do like this, it is very personal approach :-dal :-roll
-
I make it :-eek :-eek :-eek all pass perfect :-dal
-
Great !
-
Wow, I didn't think that would work! Great patience to keep the decals in place during the masking removal!!!!
-
Must say that I did not feel so much conformtable during remova, at least this build have to be reviewed in magazine, responsibility is big there
-
looks superb, well done mate, nice but risky approach on painting the grey but you did an superb job !
-
Thank you :)) In this step is present painting of grey parts. To regret, I have no clue from photos what is the color of the leading edge, dark grey or some kind of dark metal... :-dal
-
Leading edges of engine intake is polished metal on real plane and to reproduce it in 1/144 scale is need some tricks... I pour silver paint in jar, put part there, lift it, put on protective paper which soak any extra of paint and after minute let em aside, to dry... finaly placed ;)
-
my conclusion looking the pictures that it would be most probably natural metal, not painted
-
... :-red :-think :-wall :-dal :-kr ... sure?
-
99%, on the photos taken by my friend a difference between the grey areas ( which we know where they are ) and the questioned areas is more than visible and it looks to me pretty much like not painted metal.....look the intake rings on the engine which are painted, maybe the best photo to see the difference, and the corrosion stains looks like unpainted metal,I saw it in Szolnok on NMF Mig 19, these stains are most common on unpainted areas.....
-
Tomorrow will take a look again on sample machine I built and see what is situation. Thanks for correction :))
-
no problem, glad if I could help
-
So... I need rest, metal is obvious. All right, dark greay can be nice base for metal cover
-
I hate to say but I told you :)) :)) :))
-
This is in final stage of work, I was so lazy last ten days
-
Final works finally!!
-
Splendid! I love that aircraft!!!
-
Note I make it simply and swift, when open all doors, it is amazing!!!
-
