Hawker Hunter FRADU
« on: February 02, 2009, 07:43:12 AM »
Dear friends,

for some time I am working on the kit of Hunter in 1/72 scale. This is conversion into the Naval plane. But problem will be decals. I attach I have plane which will be made, did any of you have any decals which could be used for this?

Cheers  :-razz

More images. All of this images show kit with Eduard upgrade as well conversion of the nose as well some correcting, like the extending of air brake.

Thank you friends :)) When the GA.11s were first introduced, in 1962, they went into service with the Fleet Air Arm. At that time they were used as ground attack weapons trainers and so kept the radomes.

Later, in 1969/1970, the aircraft were transferred to a civilian organization called the Fleet Requirements and Air Direction Unit (FRADU) and were commonly used as simulated air targets. In this configuration most had the radomes removed and the Harley lights fitted in the nose. Later on they received a new, all over Dark Sea Grey, paint scheme (I will do that pattern)

One of bitter problem is that I lost right oleo leg and nose leg crashed so I need to get good full size images and make them from scratch.

Here you are current state of build ;) As you can see I have add small tail pipe, few aerials under and above the fuselage, fuel tanks, protected clear parts and spray it!! Note that etched parts coming from Eduard.
