Title: Grumman F8F-1b Bearcat.

Hi mates,

Here is the old kit by Hawk of the Bearcat in 1/48 scale. The kit représents an F8F-2 abd has been modified into an F8F-1b of the French unit EROM 80 (Photo recon) in Indo-China in 1954.
The canons are lacking... because I forgot to fit them...  :-red

Never mind about the cannon- they can be inserted whenever you want ;) Excellent build and I like your choice :)

Is Hobbycraft same kit as Hawk?

No, the Hobbycraft kit is a different one... with some inaccuracies more difficult to correct than modifying the old Hawk's.

Some 15 years ago I have built for my friend one kit of this plane in 1/48 scale, but I can not remember manufacturer. It was all Sea Blue Gloss and with Quantico inscriptions.

Hi No. 1,  :-salut :-salut

That was the same, by Hawk or Testor's Hawk. The kit represents an F8F-2 with slightly different engine cowlings and a taller fin and rudder assembly.
