I reckon you'll be leaving both side doors open to show off this excellent detail!!
-
It is great possibility to do that ;)
-
A lot of work on the cockpit elements, few hours more and I will be ready to paint it.

Now I will drop all other works and focus on this one ;) Engine works
-
Engine completed
-
Okay, I have to know......how did you fit the engine into that cowling without splitting the cowl first? I seem to remember the cylinder diameter is greater than either opening in the cowl.
Regardless, it looks excellent!
-
:-ok

-
Way to go :))
-
Bottom painted :)) Now details and decals ;)
-
Fast and nice!
-
Thanks, more work later today as well images. Problem- it have silver rigging and this is a bit problem. Must take a look on what type of wires I have
-
This camo scheme is a hard one on a biplane, but you're going great here!
-
Thank you mate :)) It is standard biplane pattern of the time where the topside was in Dark Earth and Dark Green while the bottom was in Light Earth and Light Green
-
Yes, I did one of those schemes on my old Gladiator thread but I didn't like that much masking! (Lazy in my old age, I reckon.)
Your rigging will be a little bit of a challenge as Gloster used airfoil shaped flying wires for the diagonal bracing. You might recall that I painted thin strips of styrene to replicate them but I don't really think that was the best answer. Too bad someone doesn't produce ultra-small airfoil rigging for 1/48!
-
There was some airfoil strut products but I think I will use micro tube for that purpose... hope I will make it
-
:-ok
-
This is it for today ;)
-
:-ok
-
excellent
-
When kit get gloss, this mean only one thing :))
-
DECALS!
-
Impatient to see that ;)
-
:))
-
Current state of build ;)
-
:-ok
-
Work with struts is definitely nightmare, inner struts is a bit longer so I need to do it in other way. Anyway, I place it on outer struts, tomorrow will do inner struts again.
-
Yes I confirm, struts are nightmare... Except WNW ones maybe...
-
The problem will be solved, I have no doubts, nice vork mate
-
Hmmm.....I have forgotten how I did the struts on mine, but I think I fitted the fuselage struts first and glued the wing to them, then added the wing struts later. I looked on the old Gladiator thread but I never mentioned that part of the build. Regardless, you'll figure it out, we are confident in you!
-
I have search images and see that only two are tick profiles while the rest are thin tubes
-
No idea how it happen, but I place inner struts in position in just few minutes without any problems. So I continue further work and this is in this case fade out and dirt of kit. First prominent problem I see is the fact that area where are decals, far better take overcoat then other area. Now have to correct this.
-
Strange, but nicely done anyway
-
Thanks :))
-
Wonderful! Glad that the struts behaved for you.
-
Next to go is wires ;)
-
Strange, maybe the cote didn't cover the decal properly ? Nice job anyway
-
Different surface, it react like that only with powder type of material for fade out. In this case is better to use solution with a dash of white and spray over surface, perfect effect. No idea why I did not do it now but I correct this, will be seen on next images.
-
It look like I have forget to place this image :-wall
-
:-ok
-
;)
-
Only rigging and some dry wash remained but due to the work overload, my vision is blurred and can not act in the moment
-
Vision first my friend. The rest can wait
-
Take a rest, the bird is looking nice
-
Thanks friend, staring in nature is good for now ;)
-

Hello,
Free French Air forces had got only one Gloster Gladiator Mk I with a two-bladed propeller. It was used for training.
