New build start
-
Cockpit work
-
You'll enjoy this build with one possible exception--the covers for the wing root guns can be tricky if you decide to build them closed as I have done. Other than that, lots of fun!
-
:-ok
-
I have build this many years ago and as I remember I did make em closed, will see now.
-
Here you are progress. Kit assembly geometry definitely does not make it suitable for the beginners.
-
Wing fuselage assembly
-
Nice progress!
-
Work on engine. Please note flush on mold line, I did not take attention as well it will be closed and completely not visible.
-
With some troubles, I assembled exhaust pipes and put engine on front fuselage and cover with cowling. Must rest a bit...
-
You've done more on this than I!! I didn't build the engines on either of the ones I built, simply put them in the spares storage for later use......
-
Maybe you are right, I think just front piece can be place in cowling and this is it.
-
I used a "junk box" engine front on mine and fixed the cooling fan and propeller to that. Doing it that way was probably as much work as building the kit engine since the proper fit of the cooling fan in the cowl ring is critical, but I wanted the engines for later projects. Your way is really best, all things considered!

Comes nicely...
