Hi,

The old Hobbycraft kit modified to fit the French version of the Seafire XV (different arrester hook).

I never seen this plane in French markings  :-razz Is it used on deck? Nice build mate  :-clap

Hi mate,

Yes, it was used on deck on board of aircraft carrier "Arromanches" (ex H.M.S. Colossus). There has been only 15 Seafire XV delivered to the the French AƩronautique navale in june 1949. They were used until the beginning of 1945... After that month they were declarde unuseable for landing on deck and were given different schools. They definitely retired during 1951.
