Fieseler Fi 103R Reichenberg
« on: April 08, 2011, 08:40:00 PM »
Greetings all,

must relax somehow and good way is to take kit and do it with minimum brain use. Best choice is the Airmodel (Frank-Modellbau) kit of Fieseler Fi 103R Reichenberg in 1/48 scale. This is full resin kit with minimum number of parts but as well through canopy could be seen something I have decided to add some minimum details. From the available images I have find inside nice red brown color which is used as primer and left in this state. First thing I have to do is to sand all parts with 320 grit sanding paper and then spray it with black paint as primer. Obviously even my spray can don't want to work today so it blown a strong coat of paint... but did not make any problem.

tenk

This day is dedicated for the painting. Source machine is Fieseler Fi-103R photographed in summer 1945 outside Continental hotel, Antwerp (SHAEF display). Other two images show protection work on canopy and first coat of RLM83 color. No idea what color could be, even options with early greens are possible.
