Thank you!
Wel, Mathilde made excellent model kits two years ago, she won numerous contests in junior category with her "Da Vinci Tortoise" from RetrokiT; and her " Ladybug" and "Ant" (Formica Rufa) from Heller. But since last year, she don't be interrested anymore actually...

And today, I've received the Aires machineguns!!!

Thank you Sall and Srecko, but I'm not sure that I will do better. I'm not considering myself as a "top modeler"; I'm just an average one...

Well, as the machineguns arrived today I decided to give a try to the gun bays.

... The PE sheet proposed by Eduard is another "kit in the kit"!!! That will give a splendid effect when finished.

First of all, the forming of the bay and glueing of a myriad of small parts...

Then, using the template provided on the PE set, I removed some plastic matter.

Finally, I introduced the bay into the wing.

OK, I have to do some sanding on the lower part of the wing but actually fitting is already good.

That little object have taken me 3 hours of work... And there is a second wing!  :-dal

Actually I'm not decided to do or not the second gun bay. Not for "too much hard work" reason; it's just a question of patience - But because I'm wondering if the two gun bays open, that will not be too symetrical... What I want to say is: on the left wing you have the cockade. On the right wing the open gun bay. Good enough or not? Do I have to open the second gun bay and opt for a more symetric build? Your opinion will be helpful...  :)) :-ok

Smart decision, open only one bay is just enough

For the colors of th egun bays, I suppose it was zinc chromate?
