Nice work, I have the Academy (Hobbycraft) ones, only error is the lower wing exhaust outlet on both sides is in the wrong position, but not too hard to fix. A great aircraft, and not the 'easy meat' for the enemy as some authors would have us believe.

Here's the finished product, an I-16 Type 10 in markings from the Khalkhin Gol combat. What a relaxing kit this was to put together!

Thanks, y'all. :-flo

This model was so much fun to build overall. There is no filler in it other than what I showed you on the fuselage and a tiny bit on the wing leading edge seams. A really relaxing kit. Truly "out-of-the-box" also, no scratchbuilding involved, just a little modification of a couple of the kit parts was required (trimming the sides of the cockpit "floor" being one). I need to put some more of these in the future projects cache..... :-ok

Thanks, all.

Here's one last picture that puts WWII fighter design into some perspective! I couldn't resist putting these two together for a comparison.

I don't know if we need another Dora thread since No.1 built one a while ago. I suppose I could tack a couple of photos to that thread when this is finished. I haven't kept any "in progress" photos of this one at all. Eduard really did a lot of engineering on this kit, that I can definitely report! :-ok

I took the picture for only that one reason, Ernie! I don't have a completed 1/48 P-47 or Hellcat that I could have used, but the Corsair is a bit taller anyway.
