This is a kit from Freedom Models. I cannot post a photo of the box because my friend Dominique Jadoul have it; the box contained an F-104 and a TF-104; we took both one kit...
Decos are for US 104 only; but I will build a Belgian one: one of the "Slivers" demo team
See here how those two pilots were absolutely crazy:

Anyway, to build one of their aircrafts some modifications will be needed.
First; the decals: I will use the DACO 1/144 decal sheet for BAF 104G.
What concerns the kit: For a "Slivers", I need the pylons on the wings end. Those pylon doesn't exist; the external reservoirs are immediately fixed on the wings. So, I have first to reduce the wing plots; then to create the pylons. My idea: to use halves missiles (BAF never had missiles on the lower part of the fuselage) - photos 2 to 4.
Then, not fixing anything under the wings, I need to sand the gaps and, next phase, to fill with putty. Putty will also be needed for the pylons...

Never hear of this producer, egg edition of Starfighter look so interesting!!
-
Freedom realised also an F-20 Tigershark at 1/48th scale (two in fact: monoplace and biplace)
-
Interesting one
-
Progress on the pylons.
Top of the photo: kit's parts; bottom: actual result

Pylons fully done and ready for painting

Never get attention on this detail... :-razz

Pylons painted :))
-
So precise hand work!!!
-
Thank you ;)
-
Nice work mate !
-
It was time to progress a little bit...
-
Looks nice !
-
Painting of the cockpit done; now some weathering will be needed
-
looks great !
-
:-clap :-ok
-
Thank you! :))
-
Back to that Chibi :
Gloss varnish, Tamiya dark brown panel liner, matt varnish, pastels and then cockpit interior in place and half fuselages glued...
-
:-ok
-
Interresting discovery I must say : Positionning the canopy revealed spaces between the rear of the hood and the fuselage.
Annoying because the putty Vallejo I envisaged to use is white, and the white could be visible frolm the interior!
I tested something: to add to the putty a drop of black paint and to mix both before use.
Result is perfect!

:-clap :-clap

Nice progress mate !
-
Thank you friends !
-
OK, back to this one too!
After a white primer overall, I've airbrushed AK RC 254 Camouflage Grey on the lower surfaces ; after masking phase, Gunze H27 on some elements and after a second masking phas" AK RC 225 Dark Tan. Next step : masking again...

Masking such small and curved shapes does not look as so easy task

Well, not really easy indeed but some "true" aircraft
aren't too...
-
Still in progress... But some mistakes need to be corrected in the paints!
-
Teething edge on light brown patch maybe?
-
Good catch my friend ;-)
-
So, if I can resume..
AK RC254 Camouflage Grey
AK RC225 Dark Tan
AK RC083 Green
AK RC342 Dark Green
Corrections
AK Gauzy Agent
DACO DCD14464 decals at 1/144th scale for the F-104. Minor adaptations madeof course...

Thank you my friend.
After having airbrushed AK RC Gloss Varnish, I've applied Tamiya black Panel Liner...
-
... Left 24 hours to dry, then this morning AK RC Flat Varnish and the canopy masks are removed...
-
...And this afternoon, finition with Tamiya pastels.
Finally, the kit is done! :-green

Thank you !
Now, I'm awaiting for a pilot (Domi is working on it...)
-
Looks great !
-
Thank you mate!

My friend Dominique Jadoul sculpted me an humoristic Belgian pilot to be presented with the cute 104, having in hands Belgian fries and some good beers (Chimay bleue).
Face painted with the oil set "Humlan flesh" from Abteilung 502 ; the suit painted with AK Acrylic 3D AK11177 Ducat Blue as a base
-
Cute work :-razz :-love
-
Thank you ;)
-
I've finished to paint the pilot today ; then time to present him with his aircraft !
The base comes from a general store ; I've placed the reproduction of an original decal that was offered to young people during the meetings where the Slivers presented their show...
On the helmet of the pilot, there is two F-104 crossing together ; of course I've painted two "egg-104" :))
OK, time to finish other kits in progress now ;)

Lovely look- congratulation!!!

Thank you my friend ! :))
