Little progress here, too. I forgot to paint the JG 27 Reichsverteidigung fuselage band before the lower surface paint. So.....I masked and sprayed it this morning. Now all the easy painting is done on this project and it's time to get down to the hard part.

This is my aproach to the subject:

Hi Dimitris,

Nice subject indeed.
If you apply these markings to your plane, please pay attention to the "Heart" insigna. It's not red but black.

I appreciate this kit. Here is the basic assembly of the parts before starting to paint. The cockpit isn't greatly detailed, typical of kits from the 1970s, but the overall fit is pretty nice. I'm going to enjoy building this.

This kit is very old (issued in 1977 !) and although it has some shortcomings, it stays one of the better base for a G-10.

Some archive assistance :)) Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-10, WNr 61xxxx, number 5, II./ JG 52, Neubiberg, 1945.05.12 for Second Air Force, cowling details and two options for me.

Hi mate,

On the first photo, it's not a short radio mast but a propeller blade of the plane behind.

I just performed "surgery" on my model to rectify this! Thanks for that pointer, Jicehem.

Here's some painting progress from my side.

First of all, the fuselage Balkenkreuz on this particular airplane was "toned down". The black center cross was actually painted in one of the upper fuselage colors. I had no decals to match this, so a mask was made and they were sprayed on.

After clearing that hurdle the masking and painting went forward. This airplane is one of those with "modular" paint, where the subcontractors painted segments without regard for matching patterns or colors. The following colors of camouflage are all here in one place or another: RLM 76 (the greener shade, sometimes called 84), 75, 81, 82, and 83.
