Primer and yellow fuselage band applied, canopy parts masked and installed. I decided to use some leftover Airfix Emil parts for the windscreen and rear transparency and the MPM supplied vacuform center section.

Also, the T has a somewhat larger intake than the standard E since it was equipped with a higher output DB 601. The kit part was close, but not quite what was needed. The spare Airfix Trop. intake from the spares bin was cut to the right length and the intake port fashioned from sprue.

Part of the uppersurface camouflage scheme is now applied. I'm trying something different with this one, painting the top colors first, then the RLM 76 underside and fuselage sides. I always paint bottom first, then top, but I think this may work better.

I painted the lower and side RLM 76 last night and I really liked this method. I've never painted the underside last but it seems easier on these machines with the light color so far up the sides of the fuselage. Now for mottled side camouflage and then clearcoating.

I have finally gotten tired of digging in the spares box for tailwheel assemblies. :-wall :-wall :-wall An RTV mold is now in-hand to make them when needed...... :-tri

FINALLY this model is finished. Many problems with this build, none of them the fault of the MPM kit. I dropped this twice when painting it, both times knocking the horizontal stabilizers off. Fortunately, not much else was damaged during these "gravity checks".

Bf-109T-2, Schwarz 11, assigned to 11.JG11 at Lister, Norway in 1944. The numerals were cut from black decal sheet. I used a spare Airfix windscreen and rear transparency with the kit vacuformed hinged section. Also a Hobbycraft/Academy tailwheel, Airfix wing guns, and Airfix solid spinner.

This was actually a nice kit to build for a short-run product!
