I like it a lot so far. The kit I'm building is a modern issue and there is a little flash on some of the parts, not surprising since the mold has been in use for so long. The inside of the wing (and bottom of the left elevator) has the manufacturer and date printed-1979-but the parts are now molded in China. The detail overall is very nice and will look pretty good when finished. By the way, I'm using one of your profiles for my paint scheme, No.1. It'll be G-10 "Weiss 5" when finished.

The cowlings and fuselage fairings are quite neat. It's amazing how much wider the cowl is with the larger supercharger used on these late machines.

Yes, I found one here: http://www.letletlet-warplanes.com/forum/vazduhoplovna-umetnost-warplane-art/bf109g/135/

I think Revell shipped at least some, if not all, of their manufacturing process to China years ago to cut down costs. I believe this happened not too long after Monogram was absorbed completely into the Revell organization. I seem to recall reading that the Monogram molding equipment here in the U.S. had been sold. I was a little surprised that the mold was modified to reflect this. You can see where "Monogram" was removed and "Revell" inserted in its place, then "China" was added below this script.

Good to have you also rejoin this build, No.1!

I must make an editorial comment about the Bf-109. THERE ARE TOO MANY OF THESE TO BUILD! :-wall :-eek :-help :-jump :-love I scrupulously built only two Messerschmitts and two Spitfires in forty years because I knew it would become addictive to do more. Well, because of you people on LLL, I can now say I have the affliction. :-tri :-flo I may have to set up a donation jar in order to fund this addiction....... :))

I did some scratchbuilding in the cockpit to add some detail. Also I opened the holes in the strut wells for the main landing gear before closing up the wings, then sprayed the interior colors. Next will be joining the fuselage halves.

The G-10 is ready for paint. I've got to take a few days off from the model desk, however, so no progress for a while.
