Bf-109 Group Build-All Variants
« on: September 12, 2011, 07:05:03 PM »
We were visiting amongst ourselves on another thread and decided it might be nice to start a long-term Group Build for any and all versions of the Messerschmitt Bf-109 and offspring. All scales, all machines, all nationalities........this should be fun! :-jump As far as I am concerned we can work on this project at our leisure and we should keep it open for a   l o n g   time. I'm thinking it might be nice to make this a sticky topic in the future if we have enough response. Ideas?

Here are my four current/future projects, two restorations of Gustavs and the two Emils I recently purchased.

If we do this I'll learn something about the '109, like I do on every other LLL topic! :-salut

No time for this bird now, but in future there'll be some E/F/Gs, since I plan to build VVKJ, Gallands and Bars machines...
When, don't have any idea for now :-think

I'll follow up your builds anyway :-jump

We may very well make this thread a sticky, Profa--then you may jump in easily when time allows. I can't really start any of mine right now either with every other thing I have to do.

Uuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhh   :-kr :-kr :-kr  :-bat :-bat :-bat  :-danger :-danger :-danger

I can't believe that Airfix manage to make this scum in the 21. century!! All right- empty, cockpit, this can be solved. Small number of part- no problem, easy assembly. But- oleo leg injected as one part with landing gear door as well propeller out of any match with real thing and even more reversed!!!!

 :-evil :-evil :-evil

All right... I will build this kit strait of the box. No way to use any of Eduard parts inside, this is better to use with any other kit then in this one. Sorry my friends- you do not deserve to see thats kits but I just to torn it away from me and start after to built any normal kit of Bf109...

This images are made in short built time.

I decided that since I started the thread I had to do something...... Here are my two rebuilds, first the cockpit of the Gustav with all the storage dirt still in place:

Then, the F torn down, followed by the "box-o-parts" containing all of the G and the little pieces of the F. I never did find one gear leg for the F so I just made a mold of the other side with some extra RTV left over from another pour.

@Scott
You have full hands of work! :) :-tri

@Srecko
You kit is the same trash like mine Mirage III. There is no cockpit, small number of parts, shape is very questionable, and small chance correct. It is important that they put inside the pilot. :-kr :-wall :-wall :-bat

Everything could be correct but I don't want to waste time. Heller kit in 1/72 scale is all right for any update but not this one

Yes, the inside view of the fuselage halves reminds me of the kits of the early sixties :-wise, not today!

... and I could accept that but at least all part at descent level molded and accurate!!
