I like this very, very much, Jicehem! The conversion is very well executed.

A question--is there any place one could purchase the generic letters for factory fuselage codes? I've got a number of potential project airplanes that only lack the Stammkenzeichen.

Also, here are the three '109s currently in work here:

I found no letters for Skz in any shop via internet... It's a pity. All letters decal sheets from Microscale, Scalemaster or others are out of stock and it seems they will never be reissued...
It's a friend of mine who printed the letters on a clear decal film. Personnally I don't know how to operate a printing machine fot that work...

Thanks, mate--I've looked across the internet also without results.

I don't know how to set up to print decals like this either. I have no problem cutting the straight letters from decal sheet, but I will have problems with the constant curves of C, S, O, etc. Something will come up, I reckon. I do have a copy of the font style used by the Luftwaffe so there should be a way!

Bf-109D W.Nr. 2674 of an unidentified (to me, at least) Jagdfliegerschule unit. A couple of good photos of the real airplane belly-landed in a meadow inspired me to build this one. One of my favorite parts of WWII avaition is the training of pilots and aircrew, and this is my Luftwaffe trainer.

This is another kitbash of a Hobbycraft B/C with resin firewall forward and a few other resin bits. The camouflage is somewhat typical of refurbished Jumo machines and even a couple of color photos of these can be found, in what appears to be 02/70/65 colors. Perhaps the 70 could be 71, but the photo of #45 shows the green to be quite dark.

Very good rendering. Bravo !
On official OS-Liste the camo scheme is in RLM 70/02 colors (fall 1939-Summer 1940) for the Bf 109 E. Before that period colors were 70/71. Your Bf 109 D has been repainted before delivering to a training unit.

Yes, and I found the wavy camouflage demarkation line interesting. The few photos I have of the training machines shows that the painters at the overhaul facilities were rather lenient with the patterns.

I need to mention that this airplane should have the extended exhaust stacks as most C and D versions had them. I used a "rejected" resin cowling for this project and it is actually for the earlier B. I may correct this later but wanted to finish the model to make desk space.
