That really is great customer service, isn't it? I have the Jumo 004 engines and undercarriage from the MPM Me262 high-speed version, and a spare Bf109G fuselage as well :)

Interesting! The Me-109T was the navalised version of the Me-109 with arrester hook and foldable wings for use on the aircraft carrier Graf Zeppelin. The carrier never was operational, but the M-109T's were operationally used minus carrier equipment on one of the islands near the northern coast of Germany. Main advantage was that it had a larger wingspan than standard Me-109 and, consequently, could operate from shorter strips!

Most interesting is that this is in general E model and it is used until 1944 in operational service!!!

Nice subject as the T doesn't get enough attention, I think.

A question: Has anyone examined or built a Zvezda 1/48 Bf-109F? I have a chance to buy this at a discount and wonder if it's as nice as it seems to be. Thanks in advance!

Buy it, it's superb. Don't hesitate. Decals are dreadful though :) Get 2! Full engine and lots of weapon options :) :)

There was one of the MPM Bf109T's on sale at the show for £7. It has brass-etch and some resin, looks a build for the experienced, but lovely model. Academy do one as well in 1:48. Good purchase :)

Scott, if you buy 2 you can make an F-4 by adding two thin reinforcing strips at the tail join! It rewards the patient builder, but it's the best out there, and it has the correct smooth upperwing panels.

You could do a Hungarian one :)

Ahhh......so many plans going forward! :-eek :-help Thanks for the review of the F2. I thought it must be pretty nice from the photos I'd seen and I just may take your advice and get two. :-ok And thanks for the warning on the decals provided.

I'm sure decals won't be a problem. I have the ICM F-4, and it's great, but the Zvezda one is better. I'm not sure if the cowling panels are a great fit with the engine installed, but the engine is nice in it's own right. Of course, you could buy 3 and make a Bf109G-0 :)
