There will be huge work but as well this is Hasegawa base, i just hope it will goes much easy, no matter of complexity of elements and number of parts ;) Interesting to mention that it have book and poster inside.
-
Good looking Liberator kit, and nice to see Hasegawa molded both types of propeller. Take your time, lots of bits to this one!!
-
Thanks mate, this will be pleasure built :))
-
As I say, easy and pleasure to build. Maybe a number of parts look frustrating but work steps is easy and parts match perfectly!
-
Pretty sure your fuselage colors are right for the airplane you're building. The rear of the airplane varied in primer color depending on when it was built and where. Most of the earlier Libs were in the zinc yellow like you've done. If you're building with bomb doors open, paint the bays in the same green as the front.
-
Thanks for the info! I will build it with bomb bay closed and Eduard suggest grey color for this area, so that was not correct
-
Possibly it could be grey, the Liberator's interior colors alone could fill a small book.....
-
Hahaha- yes :))
-
Cockpit completed ;)
-
very nice details for the scale, looks great !
-
Agree, well done ;)
-
:-ok
-
This slot in nose is excellent for lead (but not that much)
-
Progress a bit, this kit definitely need assistance with weight
-
Pack the engine nacelles with as much weight as you can, also behind the engine where it attaches if there is room.
-
Nice kit anyway
-
Aha ;)
-
And one of the next step is making turrets and placing horrible number of small protection mask over transparent elements :-wall Glory to Eduard who provide that mask, otherwise I will have reall 'crashing bones' effort to do all of this
-
Eduard masks are a must for some kits... Like a Zero...
-
True!!!
-
Yes, masking takes a LOT of time with no masks--I've built seven of the old Hobbycraft/Academy B-24s and I can attest to how long it takes to mask off that big nose and the turrets!!! This is coming along quite nicely, mate!
-
Thanks, today is day for turrets ;)
-
nice progress mate !
-
Thanks :))
-
All right, I wake up and back to this one :))
-
:-ok
-
good !
-
Thanks ;) many small steps last week and here is situation. Kit is almost ready for primer, just some small check out and few details.
-
:-ok
-
looks excellent mate !
-
Good masking! Is the clear front fuselage assembly a good fit? I've only built the old Minicraft/Academy B-24s so this method is new to me.
-
All fit is excellent, absolute no problems at all, kit is so fine to do, only I am so lazy last period
-
Thank you, mate! I may have to pick one of these up soon, though I still have three of the old ones here to do...….
-
Wish you best luck in build, at least, you are absolute expert for this machines :-ok from my side- painting :))
-
looks very nice my friend!
-
Thanks and now is on slow steps ;)
-
Painting black de icing edges
-
Excellent !
-
superb !
-
Some photos from work, it is all painted and now under gloss coat for decals. On some area I have white mist and it is corrected pater.
-
nice progress mate
-
Yes, feel like a fastest snail in the model world :)) :-smey :-smey :-smey
-
Painting these Liberators is a complicated job...….it's looking great!!!!
-
:))
-
Finally start with decals
-
Good!
-
excellent !
-
No matter that decals are easy to do, it took two days to me. Simply lazy period. And at least, I have protected gun turrets and paint them. Main airframe get coat of wash and last step was flat varnish. Tomorrow go into small elements mounting.
-
:-ok
-
Enjoying this!!!
-
:))
-
:-ok
