Westland Wyvern S. 4
« on: September 30, 2015, 10:14:02 PM »
Hello :-salut

Here is the Trumpeter kit of the Wyvern in 1/72 sclae. This is my penultimate build. It's not a very easy kit to build because it has been studied to have the wings folded and the fitting of the parts to have deployed wings leaves much to be desired... Trumpeter offers only one canopy fitted at mid-production onwards. The first type was of all-round vision made of perspex with internal frames.

Frog kit, surely. I've one in the making. It has the first style canopy. I'm looking for markings... because original ones are unusable...

Agreed, a very nice build!

I built a vacuform Wyvern in 1/48 for a gentleman in the early 1990s, it was not one of my best efforts........but a very interesting airplane!
