I did not know "Heroes"... They are producing very nice resin aircraft kits at 1/144. It seems to be the truth: this little Marchetti looks really fine!
I have a good documentation with the book written by Serge Van Heertum & Marc Arys (book is dedicated! :-love ).
You have to be very attentive to remove carefully the resin carrots; it's really important as the kit is really tiny.
White primer is already airbrushed...
-
:-clap :-clap :-love
-
Very interesting subject ! looking forward to see it done
-
Checking my documentation, I've remarked that the rear of the cockpit is not the one for a Belgian aircraft; as you can see on the photo of an actual Belgian SF260.
The second photo shows you what have to be modified and the third one, the final result.
Finally one of the pilots stick was received uncomplete; I've begun to repare it...
-
Different cockpit? New for me... always think this is standard but when start work on model and take a look on photos, then realize that there is not much standard
-
"Standard" is not typically Belgian :-green :-green :-green
-
looks like a lots of work, great mate !
-
Thank you! :))
-
Good progress!
-
Thank you Scott!
-
The only real difficulty of that kit is for the rear: no emplacement marked on the fuselage to adapt the parts.
I've taken my time and made holes in the parts (carefully, parts aren't thick...), then placed metalic wire; made holes on the fuselage and glued them with a new cyano from AK.
You can also see the progress on the stick...
-
Small photos to regret :( how new AK cement work?
-
Sorry my friend, I've not seen your question before today...
AK Black Windows is surprising. The parts are glued in 15-20 seconds; adherence looks good. But if you put a drop on a recipient for use with the kit, that remains usable the next day...
-
Aaaa- like a Colle 21 from Italy, similar properties :))
-
Nice progress and I would like to hear more about AK cyano, let us know your experiences if you please
-
Well, it's a good one. Surising due to the color and the fact you have to shake before use; but I-m satisfied.
-
Cockpit interior done
-
For that scale you did huge work!!
-
Thank you my friend
-
Watching the previous photo, I've constated that there was a little difference on the rear...
Corrected. The primer reveals that a little bit of putty is steel needed.
-
What you did there, I see smoother connection of the tail surface with fuselage, anything else?
-
Yes, but small one: port side, the black spot is a little gap between the tail surface and the fuselage...
-
:-eek :-clap
-
:))
-
Excellent !
-
I have airbrushed the dayglo orange on the SF-260.
...Unfortunately, during the process the aircraft falled out of my hand. I recuperated it before falling on the ground but... fingers on the fresh paint on the tail...
So, I've removed the paint on the rear of the aircraft and will do the work a second time.
Not catastrophic at all finally...
-
Huuuhhh... I know that....
-
Me too!
-
On the end looks just fine mate !
-
Primer airbrushed for the second time ;-)
-
Second time, best time :))
-
Sure! ;)
-
Well done mate !
-
Primer airbrushed a second time, to be more opaque. Next time: dayglo ;-)
-
... and protection tape work in this scale...
-
Sure!
-
Looks excellent !
-
Dayglo was airbrushed on the tail. Then Tamiya masking tape is used in combination with Maskol.
-
AK Real Color RC254 Camouflage grey airbrushed on the undersurfaces
...I really like the Real Colors...
-
:-clap :-clap :-clap
-
Good !
-
Thank you friends!
During the manipulations, windshield (just put in place with PVC glue) dropped. Of course, with some putty...
I've replaced the PVC glue by Microscale Crystal Clear that is more strong.
Then, undersurfaces were masked and first camo color airbrushed
-
There is some brand of super glue which does not make moisture effect over canopy, but forget which one :(

There is some brand of super glue which does not make moisture effect over canopy, but forget which one :(
Same problem for me... Forgot which one...
-
Camo finished; minor corrections needed
-
Beautiful :)
-
Thank you my friend
-
Gloss varnish and then black panel liner. Ready for decals...
-
:-razz :-razz :-razz
-
Superb !
-
Thank you!
Decals are set in place; good quality, no thickness but strong. I've used Micro Set & Micro Sol without any problem.
Then, the front of the air intake is painted in black as indicated on the instruction sheet; the exhausts are painted in Model Color "Rust" & position lights are also painted.
-
Pefrect!!
-
Thank you my friend :))
-
New coat of gloss varnish airbrushed; then matt varnish and final assembly. I don't have used pastels this time because I like that aircraft as is.
FINISHED!!!
-
Beautiful :-love :-razz :-ok
-
Thank you! :)
-
Excellent !
-
Thank you!
-
Well, Heroes Models sent me a new canopy; so I've corrected the cutting off the carrot and painted that new part.
Here is the really final result...
-
:-clap :-clap
-
:)) ;)
-
Looks great !
-
Thank you mate !
