It is beautiful! I've built several other brands, but this is the first AM--I wish I had more in the stash!!

This is a really nice little kit, I have to say. I've built the Accurate Miniatures SBD but this one is still easier.

The cockpit is now completely assembled and painted. Fuselage also is fully assembled and cockpit ready for inserting:

(http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w117/2AF/2AF025/IMG_2824_zpsbtzjnjxe.jpg) (http://s174.photobucket.com/user/2AF/media/2AF025/IMG_2824_zpsbtzjnjxe.jpg.html)

Layout of assembly joints allows for a very limited need for filler!

Time to jump ahead to the real reason for this build--my first use of the Ultimate Wash winter camouflage.

I've completed assembly and painted the airplane in the green/black camouflage. Then the decals (from the spares mostly with hand-applied numerals) went on. Next step is to start the temporary winter overcoat with Ultimate and a wide brush:

More later......

It's taken some experimentation and practice, too! :-think

Thanks!

Sorry to say, I got so busy with learning to do this temporary winter wash that I took no photos of the process. I'll finish the model and complete this thread, then start another with how I used the Ultimate product.

Okay, here are photos of the finished Yak. To begin, I highly recommend building this little Accurate Miniatures kit if you find one. It's a great build, though the windscreen is somewhat wider than it should be.

And one photo with my old LaGG that was airbrushed in a temporary winter scheme, just to contrast the two methods:

I promise to add more to this on how I used the Ultimate Weathering Wash, but first I'll build up a sample so I can take proper photos....... :-red
