Today is the beginning of a "what-if" group build on the French forum Maquette Garden. I'm participating, with an 1/72 Academy Messerschmitt Me-163S Komet, the biplace version of the Komet...
I will use the cockpit detail set from CMK, and home-made Luxo decals.
-
This will be excellent to see :) By the way, did Luxembourg ever have any aircraft?

Yes!!!
They had some Piper cub just after the WWII; and the actual "sentinels" aircrafts (AWACS) are bearing Luxemburger cockades...

Nice info mate, thank you :)
-
Another fun "what if"!
-
I can vaguely remember that an Me-163 replica is still flying in Germany as a glider!
It is a single seat replica, red painted of one of the prototypes.

Parts are prepaired. The resin insert don't fit well, so I have to remove plastic from de interior of the low fuselage, and to sand (a long time!) the insert... But finally all is OK.
Removing the resin carrott under the insert caused a problem: a hole in the insert! I have used thin evergreen sheet and once again sanded a long time... But once again all is OK!
Seatbelts are placed; instrument panels in resin too.

For the primer I always use white paint (not special primer). And, following the stock, I use indifferently Tamiya or Gunze. For this time it's Tamiya...
