My first post here and I would like to thank the admin for the invitation. I was building Off topic jet age kits at the age of 7. I remember building my first WWI kit way back in 1964-5 at the age of 8-9. Hundreds of 1/72 scale Revell and Airfix kits later my eyes started to change and I wanted to do more detail. With the advent of DML / Dragon and Eduard I sold off my 1/72 scale to a group of wargamers and started to build 1/48. At the tender age of 32years, I was writing about real WWI aviation subjects and getting published in Cross & Cockade Intl and Over the Front.
At 35 I became the archivist to the Lafayette Foundation. One of the larger repositories for WWI aviation artifacts in the US. We have a world class display of uniforms personal equipment documents and full and 7/8 scale replica WWI aircraft. About 150 kits, and a wall full of awards later I opened a website dedicated to the average modeler interested in building WWI aviation subjects. I also build on commission and have had reviews published at Aeroscale. But I try not to take my hobby too seriously. After all I'm just another Modeler. Here are some of my links.
http://www.wwi-n-plastic.com
There I offer detailed kit reviews, extra kits and decals and historical research documents on my favorite subjects. This is for the average modeler that has little or no specific information on the kits they want to do.
Here is a list of my publications (http://www.aeroscale.co.uk/user.php?op=userinfo&uname=JackFlash)
Here is an early aviation forum that I moderate. (http://www.aeroscale.co.uk/modules.php?op=modload&name=SquawkBox&file=index&req=viewforum&forum_id=106&page=1)
Here is a WWI aviation modeling link I go to. (http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/models)
I look forward to contibuting and learnibg here at Letletlet where I can.

Welcome aboard my dear friend Stephen :-ok
Let me talk about my impression about this great gentleman from USA... for a few years of our contacts he had demonstrate great knowledge and was always share it. On the LLL web site is several articles regarded to the WW1 subject and most of them are made with great help of Stephen! His skill in modeling is marvelous and historic background amazing :-razz
And one important point- now the forum balance is going on the side of the modelers who hand brush their kits. We have first at all Nico Braas, then Jean Claude Mermet [his skill with silver paint is gorgeous!!!] and now we have finally Stephen Lawson who is great master of hand painting!
We will definitely have great time here :-tri Thank you Stephen for joining us :-clap :-flo

Hi my name is Tim West and I'm a recovering slacker =D
At times....time.... often alludes me as does that silly rabbit...
Lol..Nice forum! How do you get the time to do all your projects Srecko?
I knew you did lots of stuff but wow. Well done, this is defiantly a nice
resource!
-

Welcome Tim :-flo

Another newbie here!
Some of you may know me from my IPMS columns in SAMI, and last year, I had my first book published, the Modellers' Datafile on the Hawker Hunter, which Srecko illustrated so brilliantly! Srecko is helping me with my new project which will be an MDF on the Fairey Firefly, hopefully due out next Spring.
I am originally from Britain - Portsmouth to be exact - but I have lived in the USA since 1993. My intrest in aviation started way back in 1969 when I was 5, and, of course, I also enjoy aviation modelling. I hope I can be an asset to the forum! :)

Hello Everybody!!!
My name is Marcin Ulman and I live in Krakow, city in Poland.
I am a member and reporter of Polish RNAV spotters an organization for people who take photos of planes at cruising altitude. (I know it's strange, but true !)
The other area of my interest is aircraft profiles paining using Photoshop. I'm very passionate (and very newbie) about this kind of art but I hope to present someday my work to all of You.
But now I'm wondering how I can contribute to our forum ?
You might like to know (certainly you already know) that there is an Aviation Museum located in Krakow with a great collection of old and modern airplanes.
The full list of exhibits you can find on the website:
http://www.muzeumlotnictwa.pl/indexen.php
So if you need some photos or other stuff I can get from there, please feel free to contact me.
Last but not least. I'd like to thank Admin Srecko for his kind acceptance for me to join the forum.
Best regards :-salut
