Rare chance to do something non aviation and at least this is vehicle used in aviation unit.

Progress :)) I like resin kits as well they could be really fact built!

These little scooters were highly prized (and often "borrowed") on many flight-lines at training bases!
-
This must be real one, but without sidecar!

Nice to hear that info ;) I know that there is still many of them preserved and well priced on market. From my side progress- completely assembled and painted

The Cushman company was founded in my home state of Nebraska. The factory was set up in Lincoln, just a couple of hours drive from my childhood home. There are a number of Cushman clubs here in the States and a LOT of people collect these little jewels!!

Thank you mate :-ok Please let me know, is this first scooter ever made?

Final work ;)

No.1,
Cushman started building scooters in 1936 and ended production of two-wheelers and three-wheelers in 1965. They made small four wheeled "trucks" until 2002! Many wartime production plants used these by the hundreds. We even still have some Cushmans (sadly, no more scooters....) where I work and they're used every day! Unfortunately they're being phased out by electric carts.
This is a great little model you've built!!! I also like their decal sheet as it even includes "follow-me" checkers. :-ok

Thank you for additional info and here you are image of just completed kit :))

Incidentally, these were prized possessions among Air Force personnel. A friend of ours once told us that he and his crew "borrowed" one of these at Herington Army Air Field and loaded it onto their B-29 the morning they started out for Saipan. While in flight to California (final Port of Embarkation) the scooter was disassembled and put into boxes that were already on board. That way, when the airplane was inspected in California no contraband would be found. When they finally landed at Saipan for their combat tour they had a scooter to ride. Our friend said that it was "borrowed" from them less than a day after they arrived and they never saw it again!!!!
