Captured M3 with 75mm guns in the hands of the Japanese. They were captured several pieces on the island of Bataan in the Philippines and used against the Americans themselves.

Interestingly, in the 30s, the Japanese experimented with armored armor for the infantry "Turtle". The front part had the largest armor thickness of 6 mm, the structure was attached to the back using a Y-shaped belt system.

The protection withstood shots from a 6.5 mm rifle from a distance of 100 meters and close detonation of fragmentation grenades (from 5 to 10 meters), due to the ricochet from rounded planes. (The probability of concussion during use was not taken into account).

The main way to move with this device was to crawl. But the shield weighed 30 kilograms, it was very difficult to crawl with it, which led to the refusal to adopt it.
