Interesting! I had not known that Hold did this, only that they eventually became Caterpillar.

as you say, way before it's time, someday I heard about a hybrid car, electric-gasoline from the 30's if I remember well....

Yes, and don't forget Dr. Porsche designed the Lohner-Porsche gas/electric cars in the early 1900s.
