Most respected enemy ever  :-clap Personally I am most impressed with his WW1 service, great one as well in WW2

If my father were still among us he would agree. The British troops that dad met in North Africa had respect for General Rommel, especially as a leader of men and tactician. Dad also was able to talk to captured German troops (he spoke German as first language growing up) and gained more appreciation of the man from these soldiers.
