Brussels Tank Museum in renovation
« on: December 26, 2010, 10:56:39 AM »
The Brussels Royal Army Museum includes other sections, that are: the Air Museum, the Marine Museum and the Tank museum.
This last one is actually closed until 2013: the patio where the tanks of the collection are displayed is in renovation.
The tanks were dispatched in different locations (reserves of the Tank Museum, but also, for two of them, the Air Museum!)

You'll find here some photos of the Leopard 1A5 and the CVRT Spartan - This last one is a vehicle I know very well, having made a formation on it (voltigeur) during my military duty - I served on CVRT Scorpion, Scimitar and Spartan.

These are some shots taken at the inner court of the Brussel's army museum/
I took these last year when I visited the Belgian Aircraft Museum (BAF).

Three others.

Special mention for the JPK90 (JagdPanzerKanone; the Belgian version of the German KanoneJagdPanzer) because I will soon open a topic about that tank killer...

And, finally, the Whippet of the WWI room.

That Whippet was destroyed by a gun hit on the rear; the crewmembers were killed...
