One more Spit, this one is in flying condition :-ok ; and me stupid forgot to photo information board :-wall, so I don't now the type :-red , sorry for this...
-
Excellent images and I like blue foil over the cockpit, to protect them from sun.

This black Spit is wonderful! :-love :-love :-love

excellent set of images :-ok :-ok many thanks for posting :-salut

On your service my friends. :-wave and thanks for information and links for that black spit :-ok . Now, here is a North American P-51D Mustang (hebr. Bardales), with white 38 number on it.
-
Another Mustang ( or Bardales) but again I didn't took information (is it also P-51D, or some other version :-think)... I was in hurry to take as much photos, and so...
-
Now let me present IAI Tzukit (on the first photo is explaind that it is IAI modernization of Fouga Magister CM-170). This is number 630, and has opened cockpits which one can enter, so I enjoyed rear cockpit first :))
-
more of rear cockpit and moving to front one...
-
first 2 photos: front cockpit look from rear cockpit, the rest is front cockpit...
-
more front cockpit, and then very quick walk around...
-
little more and it is all about this particular airplane :-wave
-
:-clap :-clap Wonderful :-ok
-
Pardon me lads, but I just have to note that Black Spitfire was as far as I know actually a personal machine flown by famous Israeli pilot Ezer Weizman Weizman was commander of the Israeli Air Force and Minister of Defense and seventh President of Israel.
He received his training in the British Army in which he enlisted in 1942 in order to fight the Nazis. He served as a truck driver in the Western Desert campaigns in Egypt and Libya. In 1943, he joined the British Royal Air Force (RAF) and attended aviation school in Rhodesia. He served with the RAF in India in early 1944. Weizman ended his service in the RAF as a sergeant pilot.
A friend of mine was his neighbor, and had an opportunity to speak with him personally. He also received autographed sample of Weizman book from the author.

Letipapa mate, thanks for posting these photos...
-
Thanks mates :-flo
Let me now present two more of this aircraft, in the same color scheme. First is number 677 (photos 1-12) that is placed next to previous 630. It also has open cockpits free to board; and the second is number 674 (last 4 photos) located more away, under the right wing of the fantastic Catalina (about it later :)) ), with closed cockpits. :-wave
-
This is Fouga Magister CM-170, old blue and white color scheme, number 212...
-
Wonderful photos, and thanks for sharing them!
Scott
-
With whom to share if not with such a great company that all of you here are. :-flo :-salut
More of this aircraft and some photos of photos of Fougas (exhibited in hangar with airplanes that are in flying condition - black spit and other), on which we can see other camouflage.
-
more of this photos...
-
And now basic training aircraft Piper Pa-18-150 Super Cub, number 099:
-
Ha ha ha- Piper everywhere :-ok
-
Let mi make a little change to helicopters. This Hughes 500MD TOW Defender was standing near the Piper.
-
Two more airplanes in flying condition: first Boeing Stearman PT-13 17 Kaydet, number 31 (photos 1-10), then North American T-6 Texan Harvard, number 001 (photos 11-16), and last photo is also one other Texan in a distant hangar which I zoomed. :-wave
-
Ooops :-red I forgot to put Hughes 500MD cockpit photos; now here they are :)
-
Bravo for Hughes 500MD images!!!
-
Eh, If I had more time, it could be total scanning, but better anything than nothing (although, now I have a friend that is living there, and he sad: "come and stay for a month", so it is only the matter of time and money... I'll see).
Now one airplane I adore: Consolidated Vultee PBY-5A Catalina. I saw it first time live and I was surprised how big in fact it is. Great airplane! :-love
-
more Catalina...
-
Under the left wing of Catalina there were 2 helicopters situated. I am not an expert but I believe these are Bell helis; Cobra and Hui. Am I correct? Please help :)) :-wave
-

-
I took ruffly 1200 photos! :-razz
Now here is one more SA-321K Super Frelon, N'125 (hebr. Tzir'a), number 010. This particular helicopter has special history. In this machine Egyptian president Anwar El Sadat was transported to historic visit to Israel in 1977. Inside the aircraft there is exhibition of photos of this event, as other aviation history photos. Near the helicopter, outside, the car Sadat was driven in, is exhibited (last photo).
-
Let's go back to airplanes - McDonnell Douglas F-4E Phantom (hebr. Kurnas), Block 60, with number 50 (some anniversary ?) on the lower part of the fin. Airplane is prepared with some panels transparent, so the visitors could see details. I stopped here short.
-
Another F-4E Phantom (Kurnas), number 297, with very strange, I would say weight, on the nose pole. :-eek It was airplane for some experiments and test probably, but what kind :-think :-think :-think Again I was lost in my mind and didn't took the photo of the table standing in front, what an idiot am I :-wall :-wall :-wall :-wall :-wall :-wall
-
One very strange looking Aero Comander/Jet Comander 1121/ IAI Westwind 1123:
-
Hey man- this is great, I did not know for this :)
-
And this is crazy even more : Grumman Avenger (don't know the version) that was used like a crop duster :-eek :-eek :-eek :-smey :-smey :-smey funny but it must had been useful - it's a pretty fat fella, able to care a big reservoir inside, probably :)) What a great machine :-love :-wave
-
And this airplane fascinated me - I thought it is much smaller; mmmmmh, I like it :-love, Grumman E-2C Hawkeye (hebr. Daya), number 944...
-
Bingo... :-cool
-
What, you a doing profiles of this :-think :-think :-think, more...
-
Maybe good options for walkaround for you, in printed way... will see ;)
-
and this too :-wave ...
Oh :-eek, you know, if I only could go behind that rope they put and photo all details, but girls and boys (in fact uniformed soldiers) who worked there, did not permit that at any case; no chance. :-/ It could be much more photos, but this is all right too. :-wave
-
If I said this is perfect- this is perfect!
-
Thank you ooohh great master :-obey :-obey :-obey :-green It is my pleasure :-flo

I think no one could stay not impressed looking this giant: Boeing B-377M Stratocruiser, number 039 'Masada'; first outside...
-
more outside...
-
inside is incredible, wide, oh how I would like to fly this bird...
-
They let you in?
-
It is opened and free entrance all the time - I was delighted, and I was lucky that no one else was coming in so I spent good amount of time sitting there. If I had not to go photographing the rest, I could sit there for hour. :)
more inside...
-
Two more photos of cockpit, and then look to the rear from cockpit entrance - there is small exhibition inside(photo 3). There are two interesting examples of aerial photo cameras (photos 4-6, our dear mfg459 and Jicehem could maybe tell as more about them :-think). The rest are inside details, and other interesting exhibits.
-
Silver Mosquito with red rudder?
-
It is a big model exhibited behind the glass, in the rear, tail part, of Stratocruiser. I don't know anything about that plain :-think - there where no any info, and even it was not lightened - it was in the dark behind a glass. :-think :-think :-think
-
Now something great: De Havilland DH-100 Vampire,LI58 Lebanese markings. The airplane is incredibly low :-eek

This really should be printed, masterpiece of photo collection! :-clap

I came back - here is McDonnell Douglass F-15A Eagle (hebr. Baz), number 695, photo's 1-8
and McDonnell Douglass A-4F Skyhawk (hebr. Ayit F), number 611;
Very strange looking bomb, or reservoir, or what with number 103 on it, and look ad that propeller and a thing on the tail (looks like kind of net , could this be a device for tanking another airplane - totally unusual for me!)
-
Next: McDonnell Douglass A-4H Skyhawk (hebr. Ayit H),number 272
-
Lovely machine ;)
-
Didn't left much but still there are some photos of photos - some are of poor quality, but maybe they are interesting in some way. I didn't have time to note or remember what are they about, but I think it is mostly a flying school - some historical photos, pilots, groups, airplanes, then fugas again, parades, lashing (did I say good :-think) ritual, then the badges of different services (or squadrons, or wings - I really do not know)... photo's are posted in order as they were took. :-wave
-
This historic subjects are great!
-
further...
-
and further...
-
and this, for now :-wave
-
Very good update mate :-clap
-
Thank you man :-flo
There is jet another 35 photo's of photo's (mainly much older historical period), but now let me finish with helicopters :) Here are two Aluettes...
-
and the last: SA-341L Gazelle:
-
Now here is the moment when I was almost exhausted, and my friends in nearby Beer Sheba called that they are coming to pick me up. So I took these scenes - a lot of UAVs, more Helis and one Dakota, but it is all just together... well; I was very sad, but in fact there are good chances that I could be there again for much longer time ;)
(p.s. my posting is not finished jet :) )
-
Also I made 2 panoramas: first from the hangar with airworthy machines (phot.1: panorama, phot.2-6:separated photo's) and another from the entrance in to the Stratocruiser (phot.7-11);
and two specific shots with tails motive (phot.12: kfirs tails; phot.13: kfirs and phantoms tails)...
-
Camouflaged helicopter look cute ;)
-
Great coverage!
Notice the Kfir in 12 and 13 with "Marines" on the aft fuselage and the tiny red star on the tail? I wonder if this is one of the Kfirs that was stationed in the U.S. back in the late eighties--they were named F-21 in the States. We lived in Yuma, Arizona during part of the time they were stationed at MCAS Yuma for dissimilar combat training. The Israeli crews had individual open-sided sheds to give them shade in their parking areas.
Scott
-
I discovered a drawing of a Marine Corps F-21 and it confirmed that the one in Letipapa's picture served at MCAS Yuma. I find it pretty neat that I could travel to Israel to see an airplane that used to fly over my head in Arizona!! :-cool Now if I just had some idea of where the pictures went that I took when I lived in Yuma. :-wall
As an aside to my Yuma story, the U.S. government leased the Kfirs from the Israelis complete with crews as I recall. Sadly a ground crew member (not certain if he was an Israeli or American) lost his life in the winter of '88/'89 when the ejection seat fired in the F-21 he was working on. It was very somber news and is one of those things that one remembers. The flight line can be a dangerous occupation.
-
Wonderfull and interesting info Scott, thanks. :-flo
That accident with ejection is terrible, but things happen. :(
p.s: this particular airplane is also on previous page, here is link so you don't lose time (last two photo's, it is: IAI Kfir F-21A, number 03)

Hallo from Greece! :-wave
I was very pleased to see such a wanderfull collection and so many walkarounds. :-ok
I would like to inform that many IAF walkarounds can be found in Primeportal.net posted by Isaac Gershman (uploaded by Don Busak.)
Below is the tzukit(IAF converted fouga magister) walkaround:
http://www.primeportal.net/hangar/isaac_gershman/tzukit/
:-salut
-
Great walkaround mate! Thanks for share! :-flo
-
Large and crisp images, thank you for link :-ok
-
Don't mention it.Glad you liked it.
One plane that is missing from this wonderfull topic I think,is the republic RC.3 seabee which I have also in model in 1/48 from Glencoe models.
Does anyone have any photos of that at Hatzerim museum?
-
Great photos...
