They are from my shoebox! They are all from the sixties and seventies and most are that small 6 x 9 cm prints that were so popular to swap with friends! Image of Pitts S-2A is very interesting since it was the first Pitts in the Netherlands in 1980. When I took this photo I made an agreement with the pilot to make a few weeks later a half hour flight for Dfl 100.-. Unfortunately I broke my leg at a motorcycle accident some days later and I never made this flight!
I hope most of you will also have somewhere a shoebox full of memories from the past and please feel free to add them on our Forum and to our still increasing photo database.

Great photos, and thanks for sharing them!

A couple of quick comments--the B-17 fire bomber #68 is still flying. She is 44-83546 and is masquerading as "the movie Memphis Belle" here in the U.S.  David Tallichet bought her from TBM Inc. not too long after this picture was taken.

The CASA 352 photo was taken at the U.S. Air Force Museum not long after the first big display hangar was finished. When we visited in 1982 the airplane still looked much like it does in this picture.

I'm pretty certain the in-flight photo of Ju 88 in U.S. markings is the machine also at the NMUSAF in Dayton, now restored to her correct Romanian markings.
