Post by: No.1 on February 19, 2021, 04:23:43 PM
In the early 1930s, the brothers Euste, Elio and Luigi Nardi (Euste, Elio and Luigi Nardi) founded the Fratelli Nardi aircraft company in Milan. The company began developing its first aircraft, the training FN.305, in 1934.

The first-born Fratelli Nardi was a low-wing plane with a retractable landing gear. The main production version-the FN. 305A-was a two-seater and was equipped with an Alfa Romeo 115 engine. Maximum speed-300 km / h, flight range — 620 km. Optionally, 1-2 × 7.7 mm Breda-SAFAT machine guns were installed.

The plane was very successful. In addition to the two-seater, a single-seat version of the FN. 305B/C and a long-haul version of the FN. 305D with a Walter Bora engine were produced. In addition to Italy, the aircraft were operated by Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, France and Chile. More than 300 FN. 305 units of all variants were produced.
