Exactly 43 years ago, on October 6, 1977, an aircraft codenamed "9-01" took off for the first time - the first prototype of the MiG-29 fighter. the Aircraft Was in service in 49 countries and became one of the most belligerent domestic aircraft. The fighter was used during the Gulf war, in the conflict in Transnistria, and fought in Yugoslavia and Ethiopia. In the fall of 2017, several MiG-29SMT AIRCRAFT took part in the battles of government forces against terrorists in Syria.

49 years ago! This makes me really feel old, mate!!!!!! I still think of the MiG 29 as advanced.......(like my age, I guess). :-wise
