Itavia Flight 870
« on: December 06, 2008, 10:47:19 PM »
On 27 June 1980 Itavia Flight 870 (a DC-9) on the way from Bologna to Palermo was lost by an air-to-air missle attack.

I would be interested what our italian and french forum members think of this incident.
Was it an accident or a dogfight between Libyan and italian french or american jets?

Hi Wingman81,
I suggest you to see the movie "Il Muro di Gomma" (the rubber wall) about that tragedy.
Cheers
Santino
