A Clayton model 1917 tractor pulling a Handley Page O/400 heavy bomber of 207 squadron of the RAF, August 29, 1918, Ligescourt airfield (France). It was taken during the hundred-Day offensive that ended the war.

Before the armistice in November 1918, more than 400 O/400 bombers were sent to combat units. They became the most powerful aircraft of the British strategic aviation of that time-they could carry 748 kg of bombs. Their size was so impressive that many years later in Britain any large aircraft was called "Handley Page". After the war, some of the O/400s were converted to civilian versions and were flown by Handley Page Transport and Indo Burmese Transport, as well as being purchased by the governments of China and Poland.
