Focke wulf Fw 58 Weihe

It began the active development of the German Air Force, which had previously been carefully hidden. In 1935, the Luftwaffe announced a competition to develop a multi-purpose aircraft - for pilot training, use as a transport or ambulance. Focke-Wulf Flugzeugbau AG presented its project Fw 58 Weihe.

It was a low plane with retractable landing gear for 4 crew members. The Fw 58B version was equipped with 2 ? Argus As 10C (240 hp) engines. Cruising speed was 238 km/h, range - 690 km. Could be armed with two ? 7.92-mm machine guns.
