The Antarctic Survey machine is still in Antarctica, left behind because of engine failure.

The Condor was American Airlines flagship during its heyday, including having sleeping accomodations for long flights.

Really? Is there any images of this machine or plans to recovery?

All I know is from memory of a short-story article I read years ago. On the Byrd 1938 expedition to Antarctica they had a huge "land-ship" tractor that mounted a Beech Staggerwing on the decking and this was used to scout/explore. I believe the vehicle was called the "Antarctic Snow Cruiser" and is also still there. The Condor was used for long range scouting/exploration and had to be left where it landed after engine problems as the weather got much worse before it could be repaired.
