Well, few days ago a (not so) little birdie told me that someone here might be interested in Malta WWII Aviation :-cool
In 2005 I was there on honeymoon, and had also took a chance to visit some points of interest (it was nice to mix obligations with pleasure :)))
First place was The National War Museum in Valletta (http://www.heritagemalta.org/warmuseum.html), where one could see all the artifacts from 18xx to WWII. There I made following photos of Gloster Gladiator...

Second part of my visit to Malta was famous WWII airbase Ta' Qali, where I've seen Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX, Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIa and Gloster's wings. Off course I took some pics with my old trusty Olympus :) Unfortunatelly at that time I wasn't so experienced in taking details so these aren't 1st class pics, but nevertheless... The other problem was lack of time, so I took really small ammount of pics... Next time, I promise, you'll get hundreds more ;) Here attached is the first part - Spitfire.
Additional info on this particular a/c: http://www.maltaaviationmuseum.com/spitfire.asp

Third and final installment of my Malta visit - Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIa which took part in Malta defence and is still under restoration.
Here is the story about this a/c: http://www.maltaaviationmuseum.com/hurricaneIIA.asp
I have all these pics in 3.1M resolution, so anyone who wants them has just to ask ;)
